The project "Setting up a smart farm and improving the pig farming value chain in Ninh Binh, Vietnam" was assigned to the Center for Digital Transformation and Agricultural Statistics (DTS), with funding from the Government of Korea through the Korea Agency for Education, Promotion and Information Services for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (EPIS) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of Korea. With the goal of building a smart farm demonstration model, applying Korean smart advances with the application of information technology from production to consumption for pork in Ninh Binh province, to provide safe, high-quality food for consumers, the selected location for construction is the Tam Diep Nuclear Pig Breeding Research Station, Quang Son Commune, Tam Diep City, Ninh Binh Province.
In the context that smart agricultural production models complete with modern information technology applications have not yet been properly invested due to high costs, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien highly appreciated the project "Setting up the smart farm and improving the pig farming value chain in Ninh Binh province, Vietnam” funded by the Korean Government with a cost of 3.5 billion Won (equivalent to more than 3.1 million USD). The project is expected to create a typical, highly competitive and competitive model of clean agricultural product production and consumption, helping to improve productivity, product quality and increase income for farmers, making a great contribution to the economy. to the economic development of the agricultural sector in general, and the livestock sector in particular.
