Croatia reported the first occurrence of African swine fever (ASF) in the country on June 27, 2023. The outbreaks occurred on June 23 on two farms with 40 and 8 susceptible pigs. Both farms are located in Drenovci, Vukovarsko-Srijemska near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the WOAH report, sampling and preliminary control measures were immediately ordered with zoning and epidemiological investigation ongoing.
