During the first half of this year, Ukraine has exported a total of 1,340 tonnes of fresh and frozen pork: 11 times less than the volume exported during the same period in 2015. On the other hand, the imports have increased by 42%, reaching 2,160 tonnes.
The main suppliers of pork are Germany (47% of the total imports), Poland (20%) and The Netherlands (18%). Regarding the main destinations of the Ukrainian pork, with the end of the Russian embargo, the exports have gone to Georgia (21%) and Armenia (44%), as well as to other more distant but promisng markets, such as Hong Kong (20%).
