The Danish Food Minister, Eva Kjer Hansen, wants to introduce a ”yellow card”-scheme on vets and farmers who use too many antibiotics.

The Minister intends to do it by giving the ”yellow card” to vets and farmers, when the consumption of antibiotics is at an excessively high level, by a mandatory plan of action for the relevant farmers and vets and by a follow up with stricter requirements should goals of the mandatory plan of action not be reached.
