EU: European exports remain stable

Exports have increased by 0.6% during the first semester of 2018 in comparison with the same period in 2017.

During the first semester of 2018, European pork exports have remained stable with respect to the same period in 2017, with a total of 1,935,084 tonnes (+0.6%).

China is the main destination, with 35.2% of the total quota, although the exports to China have dropped by 2%. Japan and South Korea hold the second and the third place, with 12% and 9% of the quota and increases by 5% and 17%, respectively. They are followed by The Philippines, Hong Kong and USA, with an important decrease by 35% of the exports to Hong Kong standing out.
