Commission regulation (EC) no 152/2009 lays down the methods of sampling and analysis for the official control of feed and thus includes methods for the determination of the levels of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs), polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs), dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and non-dioxin-like PCBs in feed. The EU reference laboratory for dioxins and PCBs in feed and food has provided evidence that analytical results for dioxins and PCBs are not reliable in certain cases. It was therefore decided to amend regulation (EC) no 152/2009 to improve the reliability of these results.

This Commission regulation is subject to the regulatory procedure with scrutiny. This means that now that the Council has given its consent the Commission may adopt them, unless the European Parliament objects.
