The Official Journal of the European Union has published Regulation 1337/2013 laying down rules for the application of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the indication of the country of origin or place of provenance for fresh, chilled and frozen meat of swine, sheep, goats and poultry.

As we reported last week, a qualified majority of Member States adopted by the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health, the proposed new rules on the labeling of fresh and frozen pork, sheep, goats and poultry which requires to indicate the origin of the animals.
