EU: the upward trend in pork exports goes on

Pork exports between January and October 2018 grew by 1.8% with respect to 2017.

Between January and October 2018, the European pork exports reached 3,277,110 tonnes: an increase by 1.8% with respect to the 10 first months of 2017.

The main destination still was China, with 34.4% of the total share (1,127,381 tonnes), followed by Japan (381,406 tonnes; 11.6%), South Korea (286,470 tonnes; 8.7%), The Philippines (245,981 tonnes; 7.5%) and Hong Kong (203,260 tonnes; 6.2%).

Once more, we must highlight the increase in exports to Vietnam, that have grown by 86% with respect to 2017, with 70,794 tonnes.
