The total pork export during the first half of this year increased by 143.000 tons with respect to the same period last year, reaching a total of 1.291.846 tons, equalling an increase of 12%.

The highest increase has been noted in fresh and frozen meat, where relatively high market demand and a favourable exchange rate have benefited the exports.
