In relation to productivity, Holland and Denmark, with 25.56 and 25.50 pigs sold per sow per year, are situated in the first positions, followed by France with 23.89 pigs and Spain with 21.48 pigs. The countries with the least productivity are Italy and the UK with 20.91 and 20.85 pigs, respectively. With respect to prolificacy, again Denmark and Holland take the lead with 14 and 13 piglets born alive per litter while in Spain the number is 11.50 piglets. In reproductive rhythms Spain presents one of the best results with 2.33 farrows per sow per year, superseded only by Holland with 2.36 farrows per sow per year.
