The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has confirmed the first case of H1N1 in Finland's swine herd.

The swine herd, with 950 susceptibles animals and 800 cases, is located in the Länsi-Suomi province. The origin of infection was contact with infected person. The farmers were sick with flu-like symptoms a few days before the pigs got sick.
