The European Comission has implemented the first call for the proposals for the promotion of agricultural products in the European Union. This is the first call summoned since the implementation of the new European regulations last December 1st 2015. €11 million of the EU budget will be allocated to year 2016.
This amount will be used to jointly finance projects that will last several years to help the European producers to find new markets and to promote the consumption of agricultural products in and outside of the EU.
According to Phil Hogan, Agriculture and Rural Development European Commissioner, “this year the programme will receive €30 million especially addressed to the dairy and pig sectors, that are facing difficulties.”
