According to the report to the World Organization for Animal Health, through Singapore's ongoing biosurveillance, one dead wild boar was found to be positive for African swine fever (ASF) in a nature park in North-West Singapore on February 5, 2023. This is the first reported occurrence of the disease in the country.

Singapore has no domestic pig production, nor are pigs kept as pets. Singapore has captive pigs which are held within a zoological collection and are being monitored.
