The French Competition Authority has approved the voluntary agreement between producers, processors and distributors in the swine, bovine, and agricultural sectors in order to minimize the impact of raw material price volatility, signed on May 3rd.

Representatives of these sectors agreed to begin negotiations on the sale of products derived from these three lines in periods where the price of feed is suffering from excessive price variations.
According to the institution "the insertion of price revision clauses and the softening of prices in commercial contracts are compatible with competition law".

The signees of the voluntary agreement are: The National Union of Farmers and Ranchers, Young Farmers, The National Bovine Federation, The National Swine Federation, The French Poultry Farmers Confederation, The National Federation of Meat Industry and Trade, The National Meat Industry Union - National Pork Trade Union, The Agricultural Industries Federation, Coop de France, The French Confederation of Commerce, Leclerc, Intermarché and the Federation of Trade and Distribution representing brands such as Système U, Auchan, Carrefour, Lidl, Aldi, Cora and Casi.
