France: Aujeszky's disease reocurrance

After over a year, Aujeszky's disease has been again detected in France.

On October 16, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) reported the reoccurrence of an Aujeszky's disease outbreak in France. The outbreak started on September 28 with seven positive cases detected on a pig farm with 200 animals located in Entrepierres, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

According to WOAH, the following control measures were applied: zoning, movement control, and surveillance within the restriction zone.

The last appearance of the disease was reported in May of 2022.
