In the first application phase for the funding of anesthesia equipment for piglet castration, a total of 3,851 valid initial applications were received by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) since the funding guidelines came into force on January 31, 2020. 308 other piglet-producing farms took the opportunity during the second application phase, which ended on September 14, 2020. Farms with approved applications that have already purchased their devices should now submit their documents to the BLE in order to enable a quick payment.
