No other outbreaks of classical swine fever have been detected so far by the official veterinary services in pigs from the villages or farms around the outbreaks. Therefore, the outbreaks have been closed. Epidemiological surveillance continues at a national level.

Vaccination of healthy pigs around the outbreaks in a 3-km-radius zone will go on. A cordon fence is established along the border with Mexico, El Salvador and Honduras. Vaccinated pigs are identified with ear tags for further epidemiological monitoring.
