The Dutch Food Safety and Consumers' Authority (NVWA) is investigating the presence of furazolidone (an antibiotic whose use is forbidden) in feeds.
The NVWA has closed off the cattle and pig farms on which the contaminated feeds have been found.
With respect to the pig farms, up to now there are some 97 blocked farms that are waiting for the results of the tests.
