Technical assistance will be provided through the National Agri-Food Health and Safety Service (Senasa) and the Directorate of Livestock Science and Technology (Dicta) to support the increase in consumption and domestic pork production.
Several meetings have been held with industry representatives where dates were proposed for actions that will benefit domestic pork production.
The structuring of a traceability system has been agreed upon where the consumer knows the final origin of what they are consuming, the identification of processing plants with all the requirements that Senasa grants, and also technical assistance for all the associations where Dicta, a dependency of SAG, is integrated.
In addition, import issues will be reviewed to understand how much is being imported and how much is being purchased from domestic producers and, above all, to review the cold chain.
