- The trade balance for the swine industry in 2023 resulted in a deficit of approximately USD 42.7 million.
- Apparent consumption reached 776,854 t, which represented an increase of 0.3% compared to 2022 (774,852 t), while per capita consumption was estimated at 15.78 kg/inhabitant as of December, representing an annual decrease of 2.8%.
