According to data from the EU Pigmeat Trade Data, Spanish exports of pork and pork products to countries outside the EU reached a total volume of 1,375,736 tons in carcass weight in 2024 (+0.25% compared to 2023), despite a slight drop in exports of frozen meat (-7.98%) which was offset by a notable 13% increase in the export of offal.

Frozen pork, with 705,641 t, accounted for 51.3% of total exports in 2024, while offal, with 430,078 t, represented a significant 31.3% of the total.

Asia continues to drive international demand
China continues to be Spain's main trading partner in this area, with 238,130 tons of frozen pork and 278,248 tons of offal imported from Spain in 2024. Japan (193,421 t), South Korea (78,588 t), and the Philippines (48,859 t) complete the top partners in frozen meat. Serbia ranks sixth after the United Kingdom and ahead of Malaysia and Taiwan, with more than 25,000 t of frozen pork imported from Spain.
As for offal, in addition to China, with 278,248 t, the Philippines (93,723 t), South Korea (11,548 t), and Mexico (8,674 t) stand out, which shows an important demand from markets with a long tradition of consumption of pork products.
