Important increase of pig production in Argentina

In 2015, a total of 5.52 million pigs were slaughtered. This entails a rise by 8.9% with respect to 2014.

According to the information published by the Ministry of Agroindustry of Argentina, in 2015, a total of 5.52 million pigs were slaughtered. This entails a rise by 8.9% with respect to 2014 (5,110,083 heads).

We must also highlight the increase in pork consumption, that has gone from 10.60 kg per capita in 2014 to 11.33 kg in 2015: a rise by 6.33%.
