Last year, Russia exported 42,800 tonnes of pork, offal and bacon, 121.3% more than in 2015. The main destinations for Russian pork products were Hong Kong, with 58% of the total, Ukraine (Donetsk and Lugansk regions), with 26%, and Vietnam with 13%.
As regards imports, the total volume of chilled and frozen pork, shortening and offal (excluding data from the customs union) amounted to 282,000 tonnes, 17.6% less than in 2015. Imports of pork from the Republic of Belarus amounted to 4,600 tonnes, which is 6.2 times more than in 2015.
