This inauguration is part of the Project "Establishing smart farms and enhancing the pig farming value chain in Ninh Binh province" funded by the Korean Government with a non-refundable budget of more than 3 million USD.
The project will be implemented from 2022 to 2025 at the Tam Diep Nuclear Pig Breeding Research and Development Station, Khe Goi village, Quang Son commune, Tam Diep city, Ninh Binh province, with the Center for Digital Transformation and Agricultural Statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as the project owner on the Vietnamese side.
Mr. Lee Sung Ho, Project Director of the Korean side, assessed that the application of smart farm technology to the model farm in Ninh Binh province is expected to bring many great values such as: contributing to the production of high-quality, safe pork; reducing production costs, increasing livestock productivity, improving pig reproductive performance, reducing pig mortality rate, etc. Through this project, it is hoped that by applying smart farm technology, Vietnamese pig farming enterprises can export high-quality and safe pork to Korea.
In addition, the project opens up opportunities for cooperatives, farmers, management agencies, and businesses to share and learn many practical lessons in the process of implementing smart pig farming models. Lessons from the project will be valuable experiences for effectively implementing subsequent projects.
