Increase in Argentinian maize exports

The maize exports between January and July 2018 grew by more than 19% in terms of value in comparison with the same period in 2017, reaching a total FOB price of USD2,615,886,308.

In this sense, the volume of the shipments rose by 9% with respect to the same period in 2017, reaching 14,352,809 tonnes, according to the data provided by the INDEC and published by the Subsecretariat of Agricultural Markets, pertaining to the Government Secretariat of Agroindustry.

The main destinations in terms of volume were Vietnam (18,6%), Algeria (15,6%), Egypt (13,6%) and Malaysia (11,5%). These four countries encompass almost 60% of the Argentinian maize exports.
