Ireland: Public consultation on EU Regulation on veterinary medicinal products

The Regulation sets out rules for the sale, manufacture, import, export, supply, distribution, advertising, control and use of veterinary medicinal products.

The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Michael Creed T.D., launched a public consultation on EU Regulation 2019/06 on veterinary medicinal products. The Regulation sets out rules for the sale, manufacture, import, export, supply, distribution, advertising, control and use of veterinary medicinal products and will apply in the European Union from 28 January 2022.

The consultation will remain open until 5pm, Wednesday 22 July.

This Regulation aims to modernise legislation, increase the availability of veterinary medicinal products, and strengthen the EU’s response to antimicrobial resistance.
