As of March 24, 2024, the number of African swine fever (ASF) cases in Italy is now 1,391. By region, Liguria has 748 and Piedmont has 643. The provinces of Asti and Spezia have reported their first cases in the municipalities of Calamandrana and Varese Ligure, respectively. The number of municipalities in which at least one positive case of ASF has risen to 144.
