Since last June 1st, the reference price in Italy for piglets and slaughter pigs will be the one established by the Single National Commission (CUN, for its acronym in Italian) “Suinetti” (piglets) and the CUN “Suini da macello” (slaugter pigs). The territorial prices disappear, and there will only be a single reference price for all Italy that will be established by the CUN.
Although there has been a CUN price since 2010, the new CUNs “Suinetti” and “Suini” will be ruled by the Decrees of the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies no. 29709 and no. 29710, respectively, of April 19th, 2018, implemented in agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development.
The weekly CUN Suinetti and Suini meetings will be held, as of May 31st, 2018, every Thursday at 10:30 h and 12:00 h respectively at the “Borsa Merci di Mantova”.
