The Presidency of the Region of Sardinia has reminded the staff of the Forest and Environmental Surveillance Body (CFVA), the veterinary services and the local police bodies the responsibility of informing of the presence of free-range pigs in non-fenced areas.

The detection will have to be notified to the Unit of the project for the eradication of African Swine Fever (ASF) through the CFVA using the model provided by the Region.

The Region points out that the extraordinary programme for the eradication of ASF forbids, in all Sardinia, the keeping of pigs in non-fenced open spaces.
