The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has reported six new outbreaks of classical swine in wild boars.

On 21 November 2012, following the CVO order a provisionally infected area where all 9 PCR positive wild boars were hunted was established. Totally 20 wild boars were detected seropositive with Ab ELISA test.

The affected animals were found in Dagda, Kraslavas and Zilupes counties.
