According to data published by France AgriMer, the United States remains the leader with a market share of almost 8.7%, but Brazil is approaching the top spot with a market share of 7.7%, due to its increasing soybean exports to China. The United States has seen its shipments of soybeans, meat, corn and fruit fall. The other countries in the top 10 are the Netherlands (3rd, 6.9% of world trade), which is a major re-exporter of transit goods, Germany (4th, 5.2%), China (5th, 4.9%), France (6th, 4.4%), Spain (7th, 3.8%), Canada (8th, 3.7%), Italy (9th, 3.5%) and Belgium, also a re-exporter (10th, 3.3%).
