Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, Luis Planas, has presided over the signing of the agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food and the interprofessional agri-food organizations for sheep and goat meat (Interovic), pork (Interpoc), and beef cattle (Provacuno), to promote Spanish meat products in international markets and give continuity to those signed since 2018 to support the livestock sector.

With a total budget of 624,000 euros for the years 2024 and 2025, of which the ministry will contribute half and the rest will be contributed by the signatory interprofessional organizations, the objective of the agreement is to develop promotional actions and specific commercial contacts in Asia and Europe through the SIAL Shanghai, Food Taipei, Wofex Philippines, and Sirha Lyon fairs.

This agreement “allows us to continue on the path of the competitive sustainability of our meat livestock sector” that responds to the current moment of changes and transformations that are being carried out in terms of sustainability.
