For 52 years, the Breton pig market has determined the pig price that serves as the reference price for the entire French swine industry. The addition of three new slaughterhouses outside Brittany, Vallégrain (Sarthe) and Tradival (Loiret) in the autumn of 2023, followed by Holvia (Mayenne), marks the start of this national expansion.
