The Foreign News Journal of the Ministry of Agriculture of Spain publishes that, according to the “Canada Conference Board” report, published last September 15, meat consumption has dropped remarkably in Canada in the last 15 years.

Specifically, in comparison with the 1999 data, the study estimates that the drop in pork consumption per capita has been by 31%, and in the case of beef by 19%. The report attributes the change in meat consumption along the years to the economic recession, the increase in prices, the ageing of the country's population, and the immigration.
