Imports

  • Pork imports for the January to April period totaled 550,554 tons, an increase of 7.4% compared to the same period of 2023.
  • The total value of pork imports reached USD 1,114 million, resulting in an implicit price of USD 2,023/ton, an increase of 6.0% compared to the average recorded in the first four months of 2023 (USD 1,908/ton).
  • To date, approximately 1,413 tons of pork from Brazil has been imported.

Exports

  • Cumulative exports in the first four months of the year increased by 1.3% compared to the same period in 2023, going from 65,846 to 66,719 tons.
  • The value of these (USD 275.8 million) increased by 6.7% in the period under analysis, and the average export price was USD 4,133/ton.
