Mexico: agreement in agrifood matters with France

Within the framework of the official visit to France by the President of Mexico, Mr. Enrique Peña Nieto; the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food of Mexico, Mr. Enrique Martínez Martínez, held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of France, Mr. Stéphane Le Foll, to strengthen the chances for cooperation, investment and development of markets for the agrifood goods of both countries.

Filds such as paying attention to the climate change, investigation, development of good agricultural practices, agronomic and veterinary medicine/science training, stockbreeding and the agro-industry are collaboration items that will be reinforced with this updated agreement.

To support the bilateral cooperation, a letter of intent, that will allow the execution of joint actions in three core items (scientific and technological exchange, food safety and climate change) was signed in the presence of the presidents Mr. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mr. François Hollande.
