In a meeting between the head of SAGARPA, Enrique Martínez y Martínez, and the Ambassador of France in Mexico, Maryse Bossière, an agreement was reached to collaborate on specific issues, including but not limited to agriculture, livestock, machinery, extension programs and agro-logistics.
The Ambassador of France in Mexico stressed that the aim is to make agriculture and activities related to agri-food systems, a priority among the leaders of both countries.
Secretary Enrique Martínez y Martínez endorsed Mexico's commitment to strengthen international trade between Mexico and France, as well as to open new market niches for Mexican agri-food goods in the European nation.
He reported that a delegation of Mexican agricultural entrepreneurs will take part in the International Agricultural Show in France, to be held from February 21 to March 3 in Paris, France, where they will introduce innovative products in order to increase Mexico's presence in that country via their food.
