In a meeting between the head of the SAGARPA, Enrique Martínez y Martínez, and the National Council of Balanced Feed Manufacturers and Animal Nutrition, it was stressed that the annual feed production amounted to about 30.5 million tonnes.
50 percent of the total production goes to the poultry sector, 15.9 percent to the pig sector, 15.7 percent to dairy cattle, 11.5 percent to beef cattle, and 3 percent to pets, while the rest is used for aquaculture and others.
