Mexico: October saw highest swine production so far this year

So far this year, pork production has been close to 1.5 million tons.

Cumulative pork production for the January - October period reached 1,480,815 tons (t), up 2.4 % compared to the same period of 2023.

The cumulative growth rate of pork production was higher than that of beef (2.1%) but lower than that of poultry meat (2.6%).

Specifically, 155,435 tons were produced in October, the highest monthly figure so far this year. This represents an increase of 2.0% year-on-year and a 4.4% increase from September.
