The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) informed that in the third trimester of 2016, the food and agriculture exports to Japan reached USD778 million, and that this entails a growth by 5.99% with respect to the same period in 2015.
The end of the third trimester of 2016 shows that the main product exported to Japan was pork, that represents more than 34% of all the agrifood sector supplies sold to that country.
Its is followed by avocados (18%), tuna (10%), beef (5.7%), asparagus (3.8%), and pumpkin (3.7%).
