The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food, Mr. Martínez y Martínez, held a business meeting with producers and entrepreneurs of the Pig Producers' Organisation of Mexico (OPORPA).
During the meeting, that was held at the SAGARPA's premises, several actions (among them, the involvement of the OPORPA in the Executive Committee for the Productivity of the Pig Chain, and the revision and updating of the regualations to guarantee a safe and harmless product) were agreed on.
Besides, there was the suggestion of encouraging financing actions, evaluating the use of insurance funds and commercialisation schemes, and the strengthening of campaigns for the promotion pork consumption in Mexico.
