Mexico: Pork production grew more than beef and chicken in the first half of 2024

In the first half of the year, Mexico produced around 880,000 tons of pork.

At the end of the first semester, Mexican pork production totaled 873,206 tons, a 2.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The cumulative growth rate of pork production was once again higher than beef (1.9%) and slightly above that of poultry meat (2.4%).

In June, 151,130 t of pork were produced, representing an increase of 3.5% compared to the same month of the previous year and an increase of 2.9% compared to May.
