Mississippi has joined Alabama and Florida in prohibiting the sale of food products produced from cultured animal cells.
Effective July 1, 2025, it shall be unlawful for any person to manufacture, sell, hold for sale, offer for sale, or distribute any cultivated food product in Mississippi.

Any person convicted of violating this could be fined up to five hundred dollars and retail food establishments in violation could have their licence suspended or revoked.
