After the recurrence of the disease in Brazil last October 7th, the Brazilian veterinary authorities have confirmed to the WOAH/OIE the presence of 3 new outbreaks of the disease.
They are 3 outbreaks on backyard farms located in Forquilha, Groaíras and Santa Quitéria, all of them in the state of Ceará. There are 135 susceptible animals and 61 cases.
The investigations are taking their course in the established surveillance area and around the outbreaks. The state of Ceará does not belong to the Classical swine fever-free area.
