New significant reduction in Chinese pork imports

September and October have seen reductions of more than 40% in Chinese pork imports compared to the same period of the previous year.

Chinese pork imports during October continued to decline and stood at 200,000 t, the lowest value since November 2019 and 41.1% lower compared to the same month last year. September marked a record decline of 44.8% (210,000 t vs 380,000 t).

During the first 10 months of this year, total pork imports stood at 3,340,000 t, down 7.5% compared to the same period last year.
