After the seizure of several kilos of pork, the Agriculture and Livestock Quarantine authorities incinerated this dangerous product that was packed in suitcases.
The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mr Augusto Valderrama, guaranteed that the animal health controls will be strict to avoid the entry of ASF.
In turn, the Head of Agriculture and Livestock Quarantine, Ms Cecilia de Escobar, told that the health controls have been strengthened in the ports, airports and terrestrial borders to protect the national production from this swine disease.
