According to the data of the Servicio Nacional de Calidad y Salud Animal (Animal Quality and Health National Service), Paraguay exports meat to 39 countries or international markets, and this represents a value of 755 million USD for a volume of 153.1 thousands of tons; in comparison with the 706 million USD for a volume of 132.7 thousands of tons at the end of November 2011.
With regard to pig meat, pork was exported for a value of 2 million USD and a volume of 956 tons, and this represents a high rise in comparison with the 210.000 USD and the 56 tons exported during the same period of the previous year.
