Paraná was the third largest pork exporter in Brazil in the first half of 2023

The State of Paraná was the third largest exporter of pork in Brazil in the first half of 2023. A total of 80.5 thousand tons were exported, an increase of 5% compared to the first half of 2022.

Revenue reached 187.5 million dollars, an increase of 17% compared to the same period last year. Brazil exported 16% more in 2023, reaching 579.5 thousand tons and a revenue of 1.4 billion reais.

The State of Santa Catarina was the largest exporter with 320 thousand tons, 55% of the national total. It is followed by Rio Grande do Sul, with 23%, and Paraná, with 14%.
