According to the Peruvian Pig Producers' Association (APP), it is expected that the production of pig meat in Peru increases approximately by 10% this year, reaching 140 thousand tons.
It is expected that the rise in production allows the increase of the consumption per capita of this kind of meat, that currently is 4.5 kg per year.
