In the first four months of 2022, the Philippines imported a total of 186,220 tonnes of pork. This represents a 20% increase from the same period a year prior (154,464 tonnes). Pork cuts and offals were the main pork products imported during the period, accounting for 38% and 37% of the total, respectively.

Spain was the main supplier for the period shipping 65,635 tonnes of pork to the Philippines, approximately half of which was offal. Imports from Spain represent 35% of the total pork imports for the period, followed by imports from Canada and Brazil with 15% and 11%, respectively.
